We got this nice Thank you note from Agile Racing the other day.

Dear Argyle Materials, thank you for sponsoring Agile Racing in the Race to Alaska: 2026 edition. We know Argyle goes out of the way to enable Fortus and F Series 3d Printer owners to run non OEM filaments to save time and money. Your sponsorship enabled Agile Racing to save time and money too; here is how we went out of our way in the R2AK.

After the start in Victoria, BC we chose not to follow the fleet and opted for open water in the Strait of Juan de Fuca and later the Strait of Georgia. Unfortunately the forecast didn't hold and we found ourselves in a gale for two days and nights with huge seas making for a very wet boat. We stopped (anchored) twice, a feat in itself without a motor, to dry out, rest, eat, sleep... allowing 60 of 65 boats to get ahead of us. Another day and a half and two more stops later we finally had all the stuff we needed to make a charge for the finish 500 miles away.

It took two days to tack up the Discovery Passage and Johnstone Strait and we spent one windless night at anchor in the Polkinghorne Islands. Then we sailed non-stop 24hrs/day for five days to get to Ketchikan, AK (long runs kinda like your double 184ci spools and your 500ci spools enable). A day of rain and no solar left us without battery power so no: Instruments (charts on phones though), running lights, AIS, oh and we were out of fresh water. Luckily we had a traditional compass and could collect water off the sail/boom.

We finished 17th out of 35 so mid-pack, definately not the leadership position Argyle Materials always shows like the first to offer an alternative to the OEM, recycling, EDU discounts, double spools, 450 & F900 materials, machine unlocks, F Series materials... 65 boats entered, the conditions lead to 30 retiring from the race. With almost half the fleet dropping out just Finishing is a win. It took us 10 days in total to go from Victoria, BC to Ketchikan, AK without a motor just sails and a pedal drive.
